NJ Wine Club Shipping Policy: Smooth, Secure, and Stress-Free

At NJ Wine Club, we believe your wine journey should be as smooth as a perfectly aged cabernet. That’s why we take shipping seriously—ensuring your bottles arrive safely, responsibly, and with as little hassle as possible. Here's how we make it happen:


The NJ Wine Club Promise

We ship your wines with care, using eco-friendly packaging to protect every bottle. For especially hot or cold weather, we take extra precautions to ensure your wine stays in top condition. Because great wine deserves a great arrival.


Where We Ship

We currently ship to the following states:
of course NEW JERSEY! and Alaska, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia, Washington, Washington D.C., Wisconsin, and Wyoming.

Please note that state laws around alcohol shipping are strict, and unfortunately, we cannot ship to states not listed above.


Who Can Receive Wine?

By law, wine deliveries require a signature from someone 21 or older. Delivery carriers, like UPS, need to verify your age, so be sure an adult is available at the delivery address. Sorry—wine can’t just be left on the porch!


Three Strikes Rule: Delivery Attempts

Your wine will be delivered with love and care, but carriers will only try three times. If they miss you all three times, the package will come back to us. At that point, we can:

  1. Reship It – We’ll get your wine back on the road after a re-shipping fee (determined by location and order size).
  2. Refund It – We’ll process a refund minus a $20 return fee to cover carrier costs.

To avoid any hiccups, please make sure someone is ready to receive your wine.


Need to Change Your Address?

Sometimes plans change—we get it! If you need to reroute your package, we’re happy to help for a $20 rerouting fee. Note: We cannot re-route shipments across state lines, so plan your address changes early to avoid any disruptions.


Canceling Your Order After It Ships

Life happens. If you need to cancel an order after it’s been shipped, we can process the cancellation for a small fee based on the size of your order. The sooner you contact us, the better!


Weather and Your Wine

Wine and extreme weather don’t mix well. If you’re concerned about heat or frost, let us know! We offer ice packs for hot conditions and can hold your order until the weather cooperates.
Important: Without specific requests to address weather conditions, we cannot be held responsible for heat or frost-related damage to your wine.


The Journey of Your Wine

  1. Order Confirmation: Once you place your order, you’ll receive an email confirmation with all the details.*
  2. Shipping Confirmation: Your wine will ship within 2-3 business days, and you’ll get a tracking email to follow its journey.
  3. Delivery: The carrier will attempt delivery up to three times. Be sure to track your package to avoid missing it!

Your happiness is our priority! If something’s not right, contact us at hello@njwineclub.com. We’re here Monday through Friday, 10 AM to 6 PM EST, and we’ll do everything we can to make it right. Refunds are provided as store credit so you can keep exploring wines you’ll love.
