Winemaker’s note: “The original Marigny wine, made in some form or fashion since 2015; And from what we can tell, it continues to get better year over year! Light in tannin and heavy on vibes. Serve with salads, pool parties, roasted lamb and pilgrimages to Joshua Tree.

Making of: manual harvest. 7 to 12 days (depending on tank) of whole cluster carbonic maceration. Drained off, dug out and pressed back to tanks to go dry. Racked to stainless for bottling. No fining or filtration, a bit of sulfur at bottling.

About Winemaker

The Marigny

The Marigny is a boutique winery nestled in the Willamette Valley, dedicated to crafting what many recognize as natural wine. Some refer to it as "real wine" or low-intervention wine, while the Marigny team prefers to call them Modern Table Wines. These wines are devoid of pretense, designed to be savored anytime, anywhere. Unlike wines that mimic more famous counterparts with added oak chips and flavor enhancers, Marigny wines stand true to their essence: well-tended grapes processed with care and bottled with minimal SO2 for transportation across state lines. So, whether you're enjoying a bottle on your porch, at a park, a backyard gathering, or any place where good times flow, Marigny wines are a genuine and delightful choice.

So..What's natural wine again?

  • No synthetic molecules in the vines
  • Plowing or other solutions to avoid chemical herbicides
  • Use of indigenous yeast
  • Handpicked grapes
  • Low to no filtering
  • Low to no sulfites
  • Winemaking that respects the grapes: no pumping or rough handling
    of the grapes
  • no micro-oxygenation

Not all of our wines are natural; some are simply organic or sustainable.
However, they're all delicious and good for you!
