About Winemaker
Anapea Village
Anapea Village Winery, founded in 2014, is a family-driven enterprise by Giorgi, Maia, Khatia, and Gocha Tskitishvili. Rooted in Kvareli's revitalized lands, once barren but now thriving with six ancient Kakhetian grape varieties, the winery stands as a testament to their dedication.
Guided by Khatia's sociological insights and Gocha's marketing expertise, they've transformed an eroded plot into a flourishing vineyard, employing traditional qvevri clay vessels for winemaking. With 39 vine varieties treated organically, Anapea Village has debunked skeptics, achieving 25 hectares of sustainable vine cultivation.
Their vision extends beyond wine, aspiring to build a self-sufficient village and establish the Natural Kvevri Wine Training Center in Kakheti, preserving and showcasing Kakhetian winemaking traditions.
