Christina Rosé
Christina Rosé
Varietal: Zweigelt
Region: Carnuntum
Country: Austria
Volume: 750ml
Winemaker’s note: “The Pannonian climate with the cool winds of the River Danube brings a very ripe, but also fresh cherry-fruit to the Zweigelt grapes resulting in wines with aromatic fruit, smooth tannins, and no shortage of elegance.”
The wine rests for another 4 weeks and then is racked once, then rests on the lees for another 8 weeks. The wine is bottled unfined and unfiltered, with a small addition of sulfur.
Personality: Irresistibly delightful! This light and succulent rosé bursts with the flavor of every berry, making it the perfect companion for spring, summer, fall, and winter. Not only is it lip-smackingly tasty on its own, but it also shines as a versatile food pairing. While Christina Netzl's home-made smoked trout is the ideal match, cold cuts, gravlax, watermelon salad, and light veggie dishes complement this rosé beautifully.

About Winemaker
Christina
Christina Netzl, the dedicated winemaker behind Christina wines, recounts her remarkable journey:
Raised on a family farm, Christina developed a passion for wine production at a young age. Working closely with her father, she honed her skills in traditional winemaking while pursuing studies in enology. An internship in London broadened her perspective, introducing her to a diverse array of wines from around the world.
In 2007, Christina returned to her family's winery with a mission to define the unique style of the Carnuntum wine-growing region. Driven by sustainability, she and her husband transitioned to organic farming in 2013, achieving certification in 2018. Over the years, Christina has embraced low-intervention winemaking, enriching the collection with her own range of natural wines.
So..What's natural wine again?

- Handpicked grapes
- Low to no filtering
- Low to no sulfites
- Winemaking that respects the grapes: no pumping or rough handling
of the grapes - no micro-oxygenation
Not all of our wines are natural; some are simply organic or sustainable.
However, they're all delicious and good for you!
