Named after the abundant Spanish broom plants (Spartium junceum) on the site, this cuvée showcases a unique blend of Grenache (50%), Syrah (30%), and Mourvèdre + Counoise (20%) from 20 to 80-year-old vines growing on red clay soil covered in small stones.
The wine undergoes a 3-week maceration and is then aged in enamel-lined tanks for 10 months before being bottled unfined and unfiltered.
In the glass, it presents a ruby red color with a pretty amethyst rim. The nose offers smoky aromas of cassis, blackberries, dried orange peel, and sweet spice. The palate is plush and delectable, showcasing a harmonious mix of red and black fruits supported by brambly tannins.
