Vinca Minor presents their 2021 Carignan & Zinfandel blend, sourced from the renowned Hawkeye Ranch located in Redwood Valley, Mendocino. This special blend, comprising 50% Carignan and 50% Zinfandel, marks their 8th vintage collaboration with this historic vineyard.
Harvested in mid-September, the grapes underwent a gentle de-stemming process before spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts in stainless steel tanks. Following fermentation, the wine matured for 10 months in older French oak barrels, contributing depth and character to the final blend.
The 2021 vintage stands out, boasting dense fruit flavors supported by a refreshing acidity and soft tannins.
