Superbloom
Superbloom
Superbloom takes its name from the dazzling wildflowers that blanket the desert after an exceptionally rainy season, signaling the end of winter and the promise of warmer, brighter days ahead. Now in its fourth vintage, Superbloom continues to defy categorization as our captivating zero-zero wine.
Is it a dark pink or a light red? Picture that magical moment just after sunset, the brief and poetic "violet hour" before the stars dominate the sky—that's the perfect time to uncork this enigmatic wine. Think of it as a nighttime rosé, best enjoyed with food and friends during a leisurely summer apéro.
Our original, audacious concept for Superbloom was to co-ferment red and white Rhône varieties from a single vineyard, keeping the winemaking process entirely natural by adding nothing and taking away nothing in the cellar. Typically composed of half to two-thirds white grapes and the remainder red, we label this intriguing blend as a "California Table Wine." But don't let the modest name deceive you—Superbloom is a complex and utterly unique wine crafted to showcase the distinctive character of the Love Ranch vineyard in the Sierra Foothills.
The red grapes contribute a spicy aroma and ample texture, while the white grapes impart delightful notes of salted watermelon and rhubarb, culminating in a clean, mineral finish. Superbloom is not just a wine; it's a sensory experience that captures the essence of a vibrant, flourishing landscape.
